Tankers Collide in Busy Sea Lanes

An estimated 1,275,000 gallons of crude oil spilled into the the Singapore Strait when a Malaysian flagged MT Bunga Kelana 3 tanker collided with a bulk carrier in the busy sea lanes. Beaches were closed as a the oil slick spread about 4 miles down the coast.
