Manila Bay Spills | 2006 + 2013 | 125,000 Gallons Diesel Fuel

Fishing Season Ruined For 30 VillagesManila Bay Oil spill

Paying the price of oil pimpin’ every day somewhere on the planet

On August 9, 2013 approximately 125,000 gallons of heavy diesel fuel spilled from a pipeline into the busiest waterway in the Philippines. The perp was Petron Corporation, the largest refining company in the Philippines. Fishing in the area was banned, and patrol boats were sent out to make sure nobody tries to fish. The ban affects about 40,000 fishermen.

There was some lying and finger pointing at first, but now everything is straightened out, unless you’re a fisherman. Probably, there will be an INVESTIGATION.
