Waste Motor Oil From An Above Ground Storage Tank Contaminates Wildlife Area and Irrigation Canals.

A leaky storage tank dumps about 1,500 Gallons of nasty used motor oil into Sulphur Creek and the Yakima River in Washington State. Oil sheens have been reported as far as 20 miles away. According to Washington’s Department of Ecology the area is “home to hundreds of species of fish and wildlife, including river otters, beavers, fish, muskrats, as well as wintering and migrating birds.”
